| First day of summer school July 2016 |
Today Mommy and I had to go back to work, Gramabuela is on post and spent the day with Ella. She continues to make steady progress, slow, but steady. The doctors continue to try and wean her off of the oxygen support. While she seems to be responding to getting less oxygen, she has had trouble expelling the adequate amounts of CO2, which means we have had to increase the amount of O2 and pressure support she is getting through the intubation. None of this means she is having a serious set back, it does, however mean that her recovery will take more time. More time intubated, more time getting regular breathing treatments and more time in intensive care.
Please do not grow weary in praying for and thinking about our little warrior. She smiled tonight when mommy and I called to say goodnight. She fights everyday, please don't let her fight alone.
We are very grateful to you all, for visiting and praying with our baby, for checking on Gramabuela and for being concerned about Rachel, Daniel, Charles and myself. This is only going to make our family stronger. We are all more than conquerors.
